Telangana state launches T-Wallet, its own e-wallet
Telangana government has partnered with financial technology startup Transaction Analysts to launch T-Wallet, the state’s official wallet for both government and private transactions.
Available on Android and iOS platforms, the wallet will not only help citizens make payments to each other and the government but will also support the denizens with receipt of government benefits like pension, scholarships, among others.

“After demonetization, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao guided us in bringing about a seamless digital transaction system for the citizens, which led to the birth of T-Wallet,” said Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao. “This will help us in taking forward our growth story.”
The wallet which has been developed by Transaction Analysts will have Vijaya Bank as its banking partner. It uses two-factor authentication through Aadhar plus Biometric or Aadhar plus OTP (One Time Password) to Aadhar linked mobile number for a feature or no phone users, who can avail the services at MeeSeva or e-Seva centers.
“T-Wallet is going to be the centerpieces for all transactions in the State,” said Srinivasa Katuri, MD, chief executive, Transaction Analysts, which was a part of the Microsoft Accelerator program.
