Xiaomi Meri aka Mi 5c
Xiaomi began its journey in India in July 2014 and sold 1 million handsets by the end of the year.
In 2015, it has sold two million devices so far and is said to be among the top five mobile brands.
It has a market share of around 4 per cent. Apart from smartphones and tablets, its other offerings include accessories and power banks.
The Smartphone market is flooded with all sorts of mobile devices.
As a result, the manufacturers keep their prices low and some additional features to meet the competition.
Now a fresh update, the company is working on new Xiaomi Meri aka Mi 5c smartphone.
Finally, it is also scheduled to launch it on December 12.
The smartphone is priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14,800).
It is also expected to be powered by Xiaomi’s in-house Pine Cone processor.
House Pine Cone chipset is set to compete with other companies’ in-house chips like the Huawei-made Kirin chipset, and even Samsung’s Exynos chipset.
The color of Xiaomi seems to be in Rose Gold, and Black.
It will be rather powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM and ARM Mali-T860 GPU.
Therefore the smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based on MIUI 8 out of the box.
